I will always be a sucker for print-mixing whether it's trending or not. Lots of styling advice will tell you that if you're going to mix prints, you should vary the size & style of the pattern but keep the color scheme consistent - good advice for the novice, but let's call this print-mixing for the master: do whatever the eff you want. In this case, that means pairing two big bold high-contrast florals, in two prim & proper silhouettes: an a-line frock and a classic pump.

When done incorrectly, floral pumps can conjure up memories of boring, stiff, pastel Easter Sunday outfits hobbling down church steps, but I promise you can make them cool!! Just look for pairs that are more salty than sweet. Here are a few floral pumps that I am very into right now: a kitten heel that packs a pattern punch, a caged sandal in shades of cotton candy, an abstract floral moody enough for a villainess, and a Ted Baker London pair that makes me want to dance all night in a dark club
