Welcome to the most overdue outfit post of all time!!!!!
Quick catchup: I went back to Europe with #myboyfriendthebartender in May to celebrate his 30th birthday and had two of the best, most wonderful weeks of my entire life. I came back changed, and though I'm prone to exaggeration I swear I'm not overstating here. We spent a week in Paris and a week in Barcelona. It was the longest vacation of my life and I'm now fully committed to taking at least one two week trip a year for the rest of my life.
(BTW, would you guys want to read a travel recommendations post?! I've had a bunch of people ask for suggestions, and though I'm miles from being an international-travel expert I'm happy to pass along my favorite things I've done!)
While in Paris we met up with some of my dearest friends and went for one fancy meal, and I convinced everyone to dress in all black & white as an homage to my favorite party theme ever (thank you, An American in Paris). Now that I think of it, I have forced my friends into this party theme at least four times in my life....lolannnnyway!
This was one of my favorite outfits of the year so far. I found the blazer while thrifting in a particularly bougie Crossroads in San Francisco and I felt like I unearthed a rare gem. Its boxy, oversized, silk, with a strange logo on the chest and big brass buttons - and perrrrfect shoulder pads. I wish I knew what decade it came from but regardless, I'm obsessed. I've worn it at least twice a week for the past 2 months.
It was a perfect outfit & a perfect meal.
